Caz Pereira
Director
Caz Pereira, Director (2008-) has developed and implemented career pathways in the bio-tech, energy, utility cybersecurity, and engineering sectors. Prior to founding Growth Sector, Caz co-founded Gruber and Pereira Associates (GPA) to assist cities and states in planning and managing workforce and economic development initiatives. In partnership with Alameda County WIB, he helped develop and implement the Department of Labor High Growth High Wage Biotech Regional Initiative. Prior to GPA, Caz worked with Workforce Strategy Center as Senior Consultant where he coordinated and developed customized training programs in information technology and biotechnology with public workforce agencies, private firms and national and California foundations. Caz also served as Vice President for Training and Employment for San Francisco Works, a partnership with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. In this role, Caz developed public and private workforce partnerships focused on customized training programs to prepare low income and dislocated individuals for employment. When not developing pathways to high-wage, high-growth employment, Caz enjoys rooting for his native New York sports teams and biking throughout the Bay Area.
